PDF → JPG: frequently asked questions

JPG weighs less and suits pages with photos or scans. PNG loses nothing and is better on text, lines and tables, where JPG slightly blurs the edges. If the image has to stay readable, choose PNG.

For reading on screen 150 DPI is enough. For printing or enlarging a detail, go up to 300. The higher the DPI, the heavier the image.

Yes: if you need a single page you can extract it first with Split PDF and convert only that one.
