Photo index: frequently asked questions

No, and it is a deliberate choice: recognising who or what is in a photo requires content analysis that is not performed here. Date and place are read from the data the camera writes into the image, and are verifiable. Better no criterion than a fake one.

You give a screenshot of a folder’s contents and get a Word document with the literal list of names, numbering included, without the date, size and format columns.

No: both the sorting and the reading of the screenshot happen in the browser, on your device. Images are not uploaded to Plicum servers.
